Defined material origin
Capture the source, material classification, batch weight, quality parameters and intake evidence when the record is created.
WasteTrade gives each material batch a verifiable digital identity, linking origin, custody, composition, recycled content and compliance records from collection to finished product.

A digital product passport is a structured record assigned to a specific product or material batch. It consolidates identifiers, composition, origin, custody events, environmental data and supporting documents within one persistent digital identity.
On WasteTrade, authorised participants access the material passport through a QR code. The record remains attached to the batch, replacing fragmented email trails and spreadsheets with consistent, machine-readable information across collection, transport, reprocessing and manufacture.
In secondary-material markets, value depends on evidence. Digital product passports establish a common record of provenance, specification, custody and compliance, allowing each participant to assess the material against the requirements of the transaction.
Capture the source, material classification, batch weight, quality parameters and intake evidence when the record is created.
Associate relevant Basel and HS classifications, destination requirements and shipment documents with the batch.
Record each transfer between collector, carrier, recycler and manufacturer, including the accountable party, place and time.
Give authorised users direct access to the current passport, its supporting evidence and verification status.
The digital product passport is created when a material batch is accepted at the collection site. Its opening record establishes the source scheme, material classification, batch weight, contamination level, quality evidence and other intake data.
At dispatch, the container and seal identifiers are signed and timestamped. This creates the first auditable custody event and anchors the subsequent history of the batch.
Register with WasteTrade to trade recyclable materials using structured provenance, custody and compliance records that remain attached to each batch throughout the supply chain.
