WasteTrade in the Spotlight: Our Journey to the MRW National Recycling Awards 2023

WT Nat Rec Awards

We’re delighted that WasteTrade has been nominated for not one, not two, but three awards at the prestigious MRW National Recycling Awards 2023! We have been nominated in the ‘Team of the Year’, ‘Digital Innovation’, and ‘Rising Star’ categories; here’s a quick dive into what each nomination means to us and the hard work behind the scenes.

Team of the Year

Teamwork makes the dream work; at WasteTrade, our team has been the backbone of every success and every challenge overcome. This nomination is testament to the countless hours of dedication, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving our team members pour into our mission daily.

From our platform developers and customer service heroes to our waste specialists, every member has played an integral role in redefining how waste and recyclable materials are managed. We’re not just colleagues; we’re a powerhouse of a team committed to creating real, meaningful change. This recognition reaffirms our collective dedication to making waste management more efficient, accessible, and circular.

Digital Innovation

Since its inception, WasteTrade’s digital platform has aimed to redefine waste management, making it more transparent and sustainable. We’re honoured to be recognised for our approach to closing the loop between waste producers, recyclers, and manufacturers.

In just a short time, our platform has grown tremendously, garnering attention and trust from businesses across the spectrum. By focusing on ease-of-use and convenience, we’ve managed to make significant strides in the waste and recycling sector. Feedback from our community has been instrumental in refining and evolving our platform, ensuring it remains both practical and impactful.

Rising Star

George Kiernan, our Marketing Manager, has been a dedicated member of the WasteTrade team since the very beginning. It’s heartening to see his hard work and consistent efforts acknowledged with this nomination. His commitment to aligning our brand with its core values has been evident in the way he has enhanced our online presence and built a brand identity that truly reflects who we are. His knack for bringing together teams of varied backgrounds towards a common objective has played a key role in WasteTrade’s steady growth.

The MRW National Recycling Awards is a key event in our industry’s calendar, and to be nominated in three categories is a great honour. It’s not just about the accolades; it’s a testament to our community’s trust in us and the shared vision of a sustainable future.

The event will be held at City Central at the HAC, London, on 16th November 2023. We’re eagerly looking forward to the awards night and would love to see many of you there, supporting and celebrating the strides the recycling industry is making.

To all our partners, users, and supporters, a massive thank you. Whether we bring home an award or not, these nominations are a shared success with all of you.
